GameFOX is a Firefox extension that improves browsing of the GameFAQs message boards. The purpose of GameFOX is to provide a comprehensive environment for making GameFAQs perfect.

Install

GameFOX 0.6.9 (release notes)

Released 2008 December 26. Compatible with Firefox 1.5 - 3.1b3pre, SeaMonkey 2.0a3pre, Flock 1.0 - 1.2.

Features

GameFOX changes the functionality of the GameFAQs boards in several ways:

• Quick post so you can write and post your message without leaving the message list
• Automagic quoting to save time replying to a post
• Topic tagging to keep track of and to return to notable topics
• Message numbering so you can refer back to a specific post
• Unlimited user highlighting groups to notice and ignore specific users
• Multiple signatures, including account and board specific signatures and randomization
• Account switching so you can easily change between your accounts
• Other minor usability enhancements

We use Git as our version control system. You can browse the repository with a web interface or clone it:

$ git clone git://repo.or.cz/gamefox.git

Nightly snapshots

Nightly snapshots are builds of the latest development code automatically generated every night at 3 AM. They should be used to test experimental features.

These versions receive minimal testing, so things will probably be broken. If you use the nightlies, please report any problems you find on Blood Money, which will alert us of any problems we haven't discovered yet.

To start using the nightlies, install the XPI file here. It is recommended that you stay up-to-date by using Firefox's add-on manager to find updates for GameFOX. You can revert to the stable releases at any time.
